Ford Fiesta 2018 adds van version
The hatchback model eliminates the rear seats, increases the luggage compartment volume and is mainly used for transporting goods in urban areas.
On April 24 at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, England, Ford introduced the 2018 Fiesta van version with a large storage space in the back. The American car company wants to increase the choice for European customers who are practical and prefer small cars.

The van is based on the new generation standard Fiesta. The design is more modern and dynamic than before. The special feature in the rear seats is no longer on the hatchback model, the C-pillar glass is painted the same color as the body.
The rear space of the Fiesta van can carry about 500 kg of goods. The length of the cargo compartment from the composite mesh partition with the driver to the rear of the vehicle is about 1.3 m.
Ford's urban van is equipped with an 8-inch touch screen, integrated with the SYNC 3 infotainment system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Fiesta van Sport version comes with 18-inch wheels and some sporty accents in the instrument cluster displaying technical specifications.
In the European market, the Ford Fiesta has three powertrain options, including: 1.1-liter 3-cylinder with 85 horsepower, 1.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharger with 125 horsepower and 1.5-liter diesel with two power options of 85 horsepower or 120 horsepower.
Some safety features on the Fiesta van include cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, and parking assist. Ford is taking orders and is expected to deliver the car this summer, with prices yet to be announced. The new generation Fiesta, in particular, starts at $19,000 in the UK.
