On February 24, Go Quao District Police, Kien Giang Province prosecuted and temporarily detained Le Tan Dat (31 years old, Vi Thanh City, Hau Giang) to investigate his behavior.Theft of property.
According to initial investigation, over the past year, Dat has been in a love relationship with the daughter of a 48-year-old woman in Go Quao district.
He expressed his intention to get married so he often visited and slept at his girlfriend's house. During this time, Dat noticed that his future mother-in-law often hid money behind a painting on the wall, so he had the idea to steal it.
On the morning of February 16, while his wife was working in the fields, Dat secretly took 87 million VND. He took 80 million VND home to send to relatives and then took his fiancee out.
The victim's family discovered the loss of a large amount of property and reported it to the police, but Dat fled and was arrested the next day. The police recovered the money and returned it to the victim.
