A guy from a rural town was caught red-handed stealing 16 chickens.

(Baonghean.vn) - Having just finished serving a prison sentence for robbery, Nguyen Dang Nam turned to theft to have money to spend.

On the morning of July 13, the Investigation Police Agency (Nghi Loc District Police) announced that it had initiated a case and issued an order to detain Nguyen Dang Nam (born in 1986), residing in Residential Group No. 5, Quan Hanh Town, for theft of property.

Previously, on the morning of July 9, Nguyen Dang Nam used a motorbike to wander around the countryside, with the intention of finding a vulnerable house to steal property.

At around 8:00 a.m. the same day, the subject passed by the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (born in 1982) in Hamlet 4, Nghi Van Commune. Seeing that the house was empty and the gate was unlocked, Nam parked his motorbike on the street and broke in.

The subject took a bag of snake carcasses and proceeded to steal 16 chickens, weighing a total of 20 kg. While committing the theft, Nguyen Dang Nam was discovered and arrested by the people and the police force of Nghi Van commune.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled by the authorities according to the provisions of law.
