Gala of Proud Melodies: A toast to welcome the Year of the Rooster

The Gala of Proud Melodies, featuring the songs with the highest votes, will be broadcast on VTV1 (Vietnam Television) on the first day of the Lunar New Year (January 28).

Over the past year, "Melodies of Pride" has left a positive musical impression on many viewers. From the first episode "Departure," "Remaining Pages," "Borderland Afternoon," "Walking Through the Green Grass," "Clinging to the Homeland's Sea," "Love in a Letter," "Winter Nostalgia," to "Spring and Youth," "Melodies of Pride" will conclude 2016 with a special Gala program celebrating the Lunar New Year.

During the Gala program, the songs with the highest votes from both the judging panel and the audience will be performed again, alongside stories associated with each song and personal, emotional sharing.

The Gala opens with the song "Spring and Youth" (composed by La Hoi), a song that was featured in the December issue with the same theme. This time, the song will be reinterpreted with the smooth, technically skilled vocals of the group 5 Dong Ke against a lively Rumba backdrop.

The mash-up of “Em ơi Hà Nội phố” (composed by Phú Quang; performed by Phương Anh); “Gửi lại em” (composed by Vũ Hoàng; performed by Ngọc Khuê and Bảo Trâm); and “Ơi cuộc sống mến thương” (composed by Nguyễn Ngọc Thiện; performed by Kimmese and PKL group) brought excitement and overflowing emotions to the Spring night.

The songs "Dreaming of Flowers" (composed by Hoang Giac; performed by Erik ST 319) and "A Toast to the New Year" (composed by Pham Dinh Chuong; performed by Bao Tram, Ngoc Khue, and the Dong Thoi Gian group) both stand out because they are performed by young singers with very unique musical personalities. "A Toast to the New Year" is like a warm and joyful New Year's greeting to the audience.
