Nearly 1,000 new students of Vinh Medical University enter the new school year

On the morning of October 5, Vinh Medical University held the Opening Ceremony of the new school year 2019 - 2020. Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Canh Phu - Principal of Vinh Medical University, congratulated and welcomed nearly 1,000 new students who were admitted to the school, in 9 majors of the training systems... The 2018 - 2019 school year ended, Vinh Medical University completed its tasks, with the main goals being: Focusing on innovation and implementing advanced management models, promoting the implementation of autonomy mechanisms, focusing on developing the teaching staff and training postgraduate majors, improving the quality and efficiency of all aspects of operations...

Scientific research is one of the key tasks that is regularly given attention. Last school year, the school had 2 topics, 4 provincial initiatives; 23 grassroots topics were evaluated and accepted; hundreds of articles were published in domestic and international specialized journals... This result has affirmed the school's increasingly improved training quality and is the motivation for the school's collective to strive and strive in the coming time.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa praised the achievements of the collective of teachers, officers and civil servants of Vinh Medical University in the past time, especially in enrollment, scientific research and implementation of professional tasks.

In the coming time, he suggested that the school should focus all resources to improve the quality of training, teaching and management methods, expand cooperation and linkage with the hospital system and medical facilities inside and outside the province; soon complete and promulgate the development strategy of Vinh Medical University for the period 2020 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. In particular, the school needs to focus on building and developing to become a center for medical training, scientific research, technology transfer and medical examination and treatment.

In addition, the school needs to promote research and application of scientific and technological achievements, especially diagnostic and treatment techniques, medical care, pharmacy, combined with research and medical examination and treatment at Vinh Medical University Hospital... At the same time, focus on educating students about medical ethics, skills and sense of responsibility to the community, patients, school and society.
