Nearly 1,500 professional drivers in Nghe An receive periodic health check-ups
(Baonghean.vn) - Regular health check-ups for professional drivers is one of the solutions that contribute to ensuring traffic safety.
On the morning of April 16, at the Eastern bus station, the Department of Transport, Nghe An Automobile Transport Association in collaboration with Thai An General Hospital organized periodic health check-ups for drivers of transport units in the area.

On April 16-17, nearly 1,500 drivers of 23 transport business enterprises and cooperatives in the area of the transport business cooperative received periodic health check-ups.
Here, the drivers were tested by the medical team of Thai An General Hospital in accordance with the correct procedures and under the supervision of officials from the Department of Transport, Nghe An Automobile Transport Association and business representatives.

Mr. Nguyen Sy Thang - Head of Transport Management Department, Nghe An Department of Transport said: Periodic health check-ups for drivers are one of the mandatory regulations for transport businesses and drivers in the transport business.
For many consecutive years, Nghe An Department of Transport has organized centralized health check-ups for drivers. This is an annual activity to ensure traffic safety, protect the lives and property of traffic participants.

“Serious health checks will reduce traffic accidents when drivers are healthy enough and can screen drivers who test positive for drugs. After receiving the results of the health checks for the drivers, the Department requires transport businesses to resolutely not assign driving jobs to people who do not meet health requirements,” said Mr. Nguyen Sy Thang.
