Nearly 1,700 former Youth Volunteers' files have not yet been resolved
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the data given at the Conference to summarize the association's work in 2017 and deploy tasks in 2018 of the Nghe An Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers held on the morning of January 23.
Up to now, the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers has 23,000 members. Last year, members donated 13.8 billion VND to the Comradeship Fund. Through that, more than 500 members in difficult circumstances have been helped to borrow capital to develop production, raise livestock, and plant forests.
During the year, the association also widely implemented the movement "Former Youth Volunteers set a good example in studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh" with many practical and meaningful activities associated with building typical and advanced models. By the end of 2017, the association had 450 economic models with an income of 100 - 500 million VND each. The households of former Youth Volunteers also donated 12,500 m2land, break down fences to make rural roads.

In 2018, the Association of Former Youth Volunteers continued to strengthen political and ideological education, implementing emulation movements associated with the movement to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and the movement to build cultural life in residential areas.
In addition, continue to synthesize, review and implement procedures to resolve backlog of regimes such as war invalids and martyrs for the Youth Volunteer Force according to Decision 408 of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; one-time subsidy regime, regular subsidy for new members.
Currently, according to Nghe An's synthesis, there are still nearly 1,700 pending cases that were established before July 1, 2017 that have not been resolved due to the lack of specific guidance documents from relevant departments. Among them, there are 13 martyr cases.

From the achieved results, in 2017, the Vietnam Veterans Association awarded the excellent emulation flag to the Nghe An Veterans Association and awarded Certificates of Merit to 21 outstanding collectives and 18 individuals.
The Provincial Association also awarded certificates of merit to 21 groups and 18 individuals for their outstanding achievements in association work.
