Nearly 1.9 billion VND to support families of martyrs in Nghe An in 2019
(Baonghean.vn) - After 1 year of calling and mobilizing, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has built 21 gratitude houses and given 1,200 gifts and savings books to families of martyrs.
On the afternoon of January 7, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs held a conference to review the association's work in 2019 and deploy tasks for 2020.
The report at the conference showed that in 2019, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs called on organizations and individuals to support the fund with nearly 1.9 billion VND; received information about over 745 martyrs from Nghe An and transferred it to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of localities to help the martyrs' relatives find their remains; supported the construction and repair of 30 houses; donated 1,200 gifts, 10 wheelchairs, 11 bicycles, 23 savings books...; with a total amount of more than 1.9 billion VND.

In 2020, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs aims to increase the collection and support of information to search for martyrs' remains; the plan is to support the construction and repair of 20-27 new gratitude houses, give 20 savings books and 500-600 gifts to families and relatives of martyrs.
