Nearly 120 students attend training course 'Current issues in journalism and media'

On the morning of December 8, the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee organized a training conference on "Current press and media issues" for the standing representatives of Party committees, leaders of the Propaganda Department, press staff of districts, cities, town Party committees, affiliated Party committees, representatives of press management agencies and press agencies of the province.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ho Quang Loi - former Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; representatives of the provincial Journalists Association.

The training conference is part of Project No. 11-DA/TU dated December 22, 2021 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Improving the effectiveness of direction, orientation and handling of press information in Nghe An province for the period 2021-2025".

The training conference aims to provide basic information on press and communication work, to fully and deeply grasp the Party and State's guiding viewpoints on strengthening the Party's leadership over press and communication work for Party committees at all levels; to answer and discuss difficulties and problems in the process of implementing the task of advising and directing press and communication work, helping Party committees at all levels to gradually clarify and direct the resolution of cases.

At the conference, students were introduced to 3 topics, including: Current press and media issues; Foreign information on international, regional and domestic situations; Current status of press and social network activities and some solutions to handle media situations.

In addition, the trainees discussed a number of issues related to the digital transformation process, skills in journalism and propaganda, especially in the context of the race between traditional journalism and social networks; skills in using digital technology to write news articles, press releases, photos, and interactive videos in the electronic environment./.
