Nearly 120 kg of animal organs of unknown origin on passenger bus

(Baonghean.vn) - Checking the passenger bus, the authorities discovered 4 foam boxes stored in the cargo compartment containing animal organs of unknown origin.

The Provincial Police Department's Environmental Police Department said it had just discovered and seized nearly 120 kg of animal organs of unknown origin on their way to be sold.

Accordingly, at around 11:00 a.m. on May 3, on Mai Hac De Street (Vinh City), Team 3, Environmental Police Department inspected passenger bus with license plate 37B - 019.26 running on the Vinh - Muong Xen route driven by driver Phan Van Thong (51 years old), residing in Vinh Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered four foam boxes containing animal organs weighing nearly 120kg in the cargo hold. None of the goods had any documents proving their origin.

According to the driver, the above organs were hired to be transported from Vinh City to Muong Xen Town, Ky Son District for consumption.

Currently, the above animal organs have been handed over to Vinh City Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station for handling according to regulations.
