Nearly 2,000 billion VND for site clearance for the North-South expressway section through Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - The investment project to build the North-South expressway connecting economic centers from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City through 20 provinces and cities,... to develop the socio-economy of the areas where the expressway runs through is being urgently implemented by the Ministry of Transport.

According to calculations, the area of ​​land acquisition and clearance through Nghe An province is about 540 hectares. The estimated cost of land acquisition and clearance through Nghe An province is about 1,932 billion VND.

State support capital will be mainly for site clearance and partly for investment, the remaining 70% of the total investment will be mobilized from socialized sources.

The expressway through Nghe An province is expected to be invested in phase 1 with a scale of 04 lanes, invested in the form of BOT contract, in which the Nghi Son - Dien Chau section is 50km long, with a total investment of 7,975 billion VND; the Dien Chau - Vinh section is 30km long, with a total investment of 7,234.3 billion VND and the Vinh - Ham Nghi (Ha Tinh) section is 54km long, with a total investment of 12,285.9 billion VND.

Currently, the Transport Engineering and Construction Corporation (TEDI) is proposing investment options for a four-lane expressway. Specifically:

Option 1, the state supports about 41,414 billion VND: Investing with a length of about 467km, including the sections Cao Bo (Nam Dinh) - Vinh (Nghe An); Cam Lo (Quang Tri) - Tuy Loan (Thua Thien Hue) under the BT form; Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan) - Dau Giay (Dong Nai) section.

Option 2, the state supports about 63,000 billion VND: Investing with a length of about 916km, including the sections Cao Bo (Nam Dinh) - Van Ninh (Quang Binh), Cam Lo (Quang Tri) - Tuy Loan (Thua Thien Hue) under the BT form; Nha Trang - Dau Giay (Dong Nai) section.

Option 3, the state supports about 70,000 billion VND: Investing with a length of about 1,015km, including the sections Cao Bo (Nam Dinh) - Van Ninh (Quang Binh); Cam Lo (Quang Tri) - Tuy Loan (Thua Thien Hue) under the BT form; Tuy Hoa (Phu Yen) - Dau Giay (Dong Nai) section.

The North-South Expressway construction investment project connects economic centers from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City through 20 provinces and cities, connecting economic zones, industrial parks, seaports, etc. to develop the socio-economy of areas where the expressway runs through. The expressway is also deployed to reduce pressure and exploit National Highway 1 more effectively.

Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper, Mr. Pham Huu Son - General Director of Transport Design Consulting Corporation - JSC (TEDI) said: This is an important national project, so it needs to be implemented in accordance with regulations, submitted to competent authorities for approval of investment policies, and meet the required progress. The Ministry of Transport is directing the Consultant to proactively develop component investment plans to implement construction immediately after the National Assembly approves the investment policy for the entire route. The Ministry of Transport is coordinating with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank to complete specific mechanisms, including the mechanism for mobilizing socialized investment capital, and submit them to the Government and the National Assembly for approval according to their authority./.
