Nearly 240 athletes participate in the 2025 Nghe An Provincial Club Swimming Championship
The 2025 Nghe An Provincial Swimming Club Championship organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is one of the useful and exciting activities this summer to encourage and motivate students across the province to actively participate in swimming practice.
On the morning of August 15, at the Provincial Sports Gymnasium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Nghe An Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Nghe An Provincial Swimming Club Championship.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Hoang Van Phuc - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An, Head of the Organizing Committee, representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors, and students participating in the tournament.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Hoang Van Phuc emphasized: “Practicing swimming is not only about comprehensive health development, but also an important skill for safety in the water environment to reduce the rate of drowning for children. This tournament is also an opportunity to encourage the movement of practicing swimming, physical training; promote and raise awareness of the whole society about practicing swimming; Create conditions for children who love swimming to exchange and learn, exchange experiences, through the tournament to discover talents to provide for the high-performance sports teams of the province”.
Nearly 240 athletes from 20 clubs across the province will participate in the 2025 Nghe An Provincial Swimming Club Championship. This tournament continues the success of the annual "Green Race" tournaments held in Nghe An province, aiming to motivate and encourage students and children to actively participate in swimming practice, thereby contributing to the movement of the whole population practicing swimming and preventing drowning in Nghe An province.
The tournament is also an opportunity for coaches of the Swimming and Diving Teams of the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center to find talented athletes, adding to the source of athletes for high-performance sports in Nghe An.

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, the athletes entered the competition events. The 2025 Nghe An Provincial Club Swimming Tournament took place over 2 days from August 15-16 at the Swimming Pool of Nghe An Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.
