Nearly 3,400 elderly people in Dien Chau received free eye exams
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the plan to prevent blindness in the period of 2018-2020, with a vision to 2030 in Nghe An province, from March 12 to April 11, 2018, the Dien Chau Association of the Elderly coordinated with Nghe An Eye Hospital to conduct the first eye examination in 2018 for the elderly in Dien Chau district.

This time, nearly 3,400 elderly people came to the health stations of 24 communes and towns for screening. Here, the elderly were examined by doctors and nurses of Nghe An Eye Hospital, consulted on prevention, treatment and free medicine for eye diseases. For serious cases, they will be consulted on treatment methods or cataract surgery.
The free eye examination and medicine program is a meaningful activity, aiming to create conditions for the elderly who are poor and in difficult circumstances to receive eye consultation and treatment./.
