Nearly 3,400 elderly people in Dien Chau received free eye examinations.
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the plan for blindness prevention in Nghe An province for the period 2018-2020, with a vision to 2030, from March 12th to April 11th, 2018, the Dien Chau Elderly Association, in coordination with Nghe An Eye Hospital, conducted the first eye examination of 2018 for elderly people in Dien Chau district.

During this period, nearly 3,400 elderly people came for screening at the health stations of 24 communes and towns. There, the elderly received examinations and consultations from doctors and medical staff of Nghe An Eye Hospital on prevention, treatment, and free medication for eye diseases. For those with severe conditions, they were advised on treatment options or cataract surgery.
The free eye examination and medication program is a meaningful and practical activity, aiming to provide elderly people from impoverished backgrounds and difficult circumstances with access to eye care advice and treatment.
