Nearly 3 billion VND to support families of martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 11, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs held a conference to summarize the association's work in 2018 and deploy tasks for 2019.
In 2018, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs called on organizations and individuals to donate nearly 2.6 billion VND to the fund. The Association received over 740 lists of martyrs from Nghe An province from the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Dong Nai province and a number of military units to help martyrs' families find the remains of their loved ones. In the charity activities, the Association at all levels mobilized social resources to support the construction of 47 charity houses, and presented more than 1,000 gifts to martyrs' relatives worth hundreds of millions of VND. The total value of support was nearly 3 billion VND.

In 2019, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs increased the collection and support of information to search for martyrs' remains; supported the construction of 15-20 gratitude houses, repaired 5-7 houses, gave 20-30 savings books and 300-400 gifts to families and relatives of martyrs.
