Nearly 300 red-whiskered bulbuls attend the Bird Contest

(Baonghean.vn) - On March 26, at Cau Giat Town Primary School (Quynh Luu), Cau Giat Bird Club organized the 2nd Cau Giat Town Open Bird Singing and Fighting Contest in 2016.

The contest was attended by nearly 300 birds from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh, Vinh and neighboring districts in the province. After more than 4 hours of competition, the birds showed off their rich voice, wing fighting and endurance.

There were nearly 300 birds participating in the contest.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize, a motorbike worth 19 million VND, to Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong from Vinh Tan Bird Club, Vinh City; the second prize was awarded to Mr. Nguyen Canh Tung, from 11 Nguyen Quoc Tri Bird Club, and the third prize to Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen, from Duong Trieu Mac Club - Hai Phong. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded more than 50 other secondary prizes.

The organizers presented gifts to the judges.

Besides creating a playground for members, at the contest, the organizing committee auctioned 2 bird cages, 1 water pipe and called on members to support more than 10 million VND.

This amount was contributed by the Organizing Committee to the scholarship fund of Cau Giat Town Primary School to help students in difficult circumstances to study well.
