Nearly 300 highland youths prepare to join military service

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 1, the Military Service Council of Quy Hop district organized a preliminary health examination for military service in 2017.

Participating in this preliminary military service examination were 400 youth union members from 21 communes and towns. Of these, 20 youths had university degrees, 18 had college degrees, 5 had intermediate degrees, and more than 200 had high school degrees... There were 270 Thai and Tho ethnic groups, 130 Kinh ethnic groups, and 2 youths who were members of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

This year, thanks to the early implementation of directive documents and the pre-screening by the Military Service Councils of communes, the health quality and qualifications of the youth union members participating in the preliminary selection were assessed to be higher than last year.

Through the examination, 160 young men with the best health will be selected to join the military service in 2017. The Military Service Council of Quy Hop district will finalize the list, waiting for the official quota to call young men to join the army in early 2017.
