During the first days of the new year, many people from all over the country came to Vung Chua - Yen Island to offer incense and visit the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap. According to statistics, during the 7 days of the Lunar New Year holiday, the tomb of the General welcomed nearly 47,000 visitors.
Vung Chua - Yen Island is the resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap. Every Tet holiday, this place welcomes tens of thousands of domestic and foreign visitors to offer incense and visit his grave.
The team protecting the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap said that this year's Lunar New Year had favorable weather, so the number of visitors to his tomb increased dramatically. During the 7-day Lunar New Year holiday, nearly 47,000 people came to offer incense.

According to a quick report from the Quang Binh Department of Tourism, from February 14 to 20, the total number of visitors to Quang Binh is estimated at 145,000, of which international visitors are estimated at 9,000. The average number of tourists per day increased by 33% compared to the same period in 2017, with international visitors increasing by an average of 29%.
