Nearly 40 universities announced 2018 admission scores

Military Medical Academy, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology have announced their admission scores, which are about 2-3 points lower than last year.

On the afternoon of August 5, a series of schools and academies announced their benchmark scores for 2018. By 7 p.m., among nearly 40 schools that announced scores, the highest score was from the Military Medical Academy, which belongs to the military, with 26.35 points based on the results of the national high school exam; followed by the Military Science Academy, which had 26.14 points and no coefficient. Last year, the Military Medical Academy had the highest score of 30 points.

The second school with the highest score is Hanoi University of Science and Technology. This year, the school has recruited 6,600 students, distributed to 52 training programs. The highest admission score for Information Technology is 25.35; the lowest is 18 points for joint training programs.

From August 1 to no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 6, according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, universities and academies must announce the results of the first round of university admissions, including admission scores based on academic records, based on the results of the 2018 national high school exam, combined admission of the two above methods or according to separate projects.

Foreign Trade University at all three campuses has an admission score of 22.65. The Economics and Business Administration group at the Ho Chi Minh City campus has the highest admission score of 24.25 for block A (Math - Physics - Chemistry). Compared to the ceiling score last year, this year's ceiling score of the school has decreased by 4 points.

In the South, on the afternoon of August 5, Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry announced the highest admission score of 18.75. Previously, this school and a number of other schools such as Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, University of Public Health, University of Natural Resources and Environment Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission score based on high school learning results.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law became the first school to recruit all 1,970 full-time university students according to its own admission plan. The highest standard score belonged to the International Commercial Law major with 24.5 and the lowest was Business Administration with 19.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates admitted in the first round must confirm their enrollment before 5:00 p.m. on August 12.
