From the evening of March 13, the Department of Education and Training began to collect parents' opinions on issues of teaching and learning, and on when students would return to school during the period.prevention of Covid-19 epidemic.

As of 5:00 p.m. on March 16, 2020, 362,723 parents participated in the survey, including 111,115 parents of preschool children, 160,523 parents of primary school students and 90,883 parents of secondary school students.

According to the Department of Education and Training, through synthesizing data, 99.4% of parents highly appreciated the school's timely provision of information to parents about Covid-19 prevention and control.

In addition, 95.6% of opinions assessed that the school had implemented well the instructions on Covid-19 prevention skills and 95.8% of opinions assessed that the school had regularly reminded and checked the implementation of students during their time at school; the work of disinfecting and cleaning classrooms was recorded at 96.3%.

Up to this point, 92.5% of parents said that during the school break, schools have organized assignments for students to study on their own, monitored and helped students, and tested and evaluated students' self-study results.

In which, the implementation of E-Learning system; Website, Email address, Zalo, Facebook, Facetime... is appropriate, accounting for 83.1%. In addition, 91.6% of opinions said that teaching on television is necessary.

However, only 69.8% of opinions agree on organizing formal teaching of some content on television and the internet.

Currently, 31.2% of opinions are still concerned about the conditions and equipment of the family for students to participate in this form of learning.

Another issue of concern is that during the time off from school at home, up to 39% of students participate in social activities.

In particular, regarding the time frame for students to return to school, many opinions choose March 30, 2020. Of which, preschool accounts for 55.4%; primary school accounts for 65.8% and 72.9% for secondary school students. The overall rate for the three levels is nearly 65%.

Besides, 37.2% of parents suggested that secondary school students should go to school from March 23.

From the opinions on the timeline for returning to school, it can be seen that the majority of parents of primary and secondary school students want their children to return to school.
