Nearly 760 volunteers donated blood in Do Luong

(Baonghean.vn) - 400 units of blood were received during the Blood Donation Festival in Do Luong, contributing to protecting, caring for and improving people's health.

With the theme of giving love, sharing life, Do Luong Red Cross in collaboration with Nghe An Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion organized a humanitarian blood donation day on March 22 in Thuong Son commune.

This year, the festival attracted the participation of nearly 760 volunteers from 10 communes, 3 units, 3 high schools in the area. The organizing committee will receive at least 400 units of blood at this meaningful festival.

Although the amount of blood collected has increased in recent years, it only meets the needs of emergency and treatment for about 70% of patients. Therefore, the blood donation festival in Do Luong is an opportunity to share life, full of humanity, and needs to be spread more strongly./.
