Nearly a hundred people participated in the fishing competition on Giang River.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 14, Mon Son commune (Con Cuong) organized a fishing contest on the Giang River. This is an activity to celebrate the Mon Son, Luc Da Festival in 2024.
This is the second consecutive year that Mon Son commune has organized a fishing competition on the Giang River. The purpose of the festival is to create a lively and joyful atmosphere, connecting the spirit of solidarity between villages and hamlets, creating conditions for people to catch more fish and shrimp to improve food for their families.

In addition, the contest helps people raise awareness of protecting aquatic resources by fishing methods that cause less harm to the environment, not fishing with unsafe fishing gear and illegal fishing methods that cause the destruction of aquatic resources.
This year's contest has 84 members from 12 teams of 12 villages in the border commune of Mon Son, Con Cuong district.

According to the regulations of the Organizing Committee, participants in the fishing festival are only allowed to use traditional fishing tools such as: traps, nets, scoops, scoops, nets, and each team is equipped with a small boat, diving goggles... to show off their fishing skills.
The location of the fishing festival on Giang River is nearly 1km long, from the foot of Pha Lai Dam to Mon Son Market. This is a section of the river where the commune has strictly banned fishing in all forms to preserve aquatic resources for many years.

After the drum beat signaled the start of the Fishing Competition, 84 members of 12 teams excitedly brought their tools and went down to Giang River to catch fish. When they caught big fish, everyone cheered happily and excitedly, making the atmosphere of the festival more jubilant and bustling.
