See You Again was released in 2015. The success of this single was largely due to being chosen as the soundtrack for the blockbuster Fast & Furious 7. The music video was filmed at the exact location of the movie and included the ending scene of Fast & Furious 7, when Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's cars turned in two different directions in the afternoon.
At the premiere of Fast & Furious 7 in China in March 2015, Vin Diesel shared with VnExpress: "We have a very strong soundtrack team and they saw the rough cut of the movie to get inspiration for the composition. Charlie Puth is in the music team with rapper Wiz Khalifa. He came to me and said that he cried a lot after watching the movie and immediately composed See You Again in just 10 minutes. I was very surprised but Charlie said he sympathized with me because he also lost a close friend in a car accident."
In the near future, See You Again could be the first music video in history to reach 3 billion views. This year, the video has averaged about 3 million views a day.
The Next Web calculated how much money Charlie Puth and Khalifa made from this video. Based on their analysis,Mira Zaslove -Cisco product manager,a network solutions company- on Quora, YouTube users earn $1,000 for every million views, sharing the advertising revenue. So rapper Wiz Khalifa and singer Charlie Puth could receive $2.9 million for the record-breaking See You Again.
Gangnam Style was released in 2012, making Psy a worldwide phenomenon. Many celebrities such as Madonna, Britney Spears, and former US President Barack Obama covered the horse dance in the song.
