Meeting with Youth Union officials through the ages

(Baonghean.vn)- On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Union (October 15, 1956 - October 15, 2016), on the afternoon of October 14, the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province organized a meeting with officials of the provincial Youth Union through the periods and awarded prizes for the photo contest "I love my Fatherland".

Also attending the ceremony were leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches, sectors and organizations; and officials of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province through the periods.

Comrade Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province delivered the opening speech at the ceremony.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of 60 years of building, striving, contributing and growing of the Vietnam Youth Union. The Vietnam Youth Union is increasingly worthy of being a broad social organization of youth and patriotic Vietnamese youth organizations. Affirming that youth are the backbone of the country, the future owners of the country, and the vanguard force in building and defending the Fatherland.

The Youth Union of Nghe An province has gone through more than 20 years of development, the organization of the Union in the whole province has grown stronger and stronger, through the activities of the Union has created opportunities for young people to study, practice, contribute and mature; actively contributing to the task of developing the economy, culture, society, national defense and security of the province.

Along with the work of building a strong Youth Union, the Youth Union at all levels has launched and organized many youth action movements. The most typical and outstanding of which is the "Youth Volunteer" movement for community life. The campaign "Youth establishes a career and gets rich legitimately" has seen more and more examples of young people who are good at production and business, young farm owners, dynamic and creative young entrepreneurs, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the province and the country....

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union summarized and awarded prizes for the photo contest with the theme “I love my country”. The contest was launched for 1 month and attracted a large number of participants with more than 2,000 works. At the end of the contest, the jury awarded 16 prizes to individuals and groups./.
