Meeting with representatives of people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of outstanding martyrs working in the armed forces of Military Region 4

Attending the meeting were Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region; Major General Le Tat Thang - Deputy Commander of the Military Region; representatives of the Policy Department, Ministry of National Defense, Head of the General Staff, Department of Politics, Logistics, Engineering and Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Hero of the Armed Forces La Thi Tam and 75 representatives of war invalids and relatives of outstanding martyrs in the armed forces of the Military Region.

During the resistance wars for national independence, the Military Region 4 was not only a large rear base, providing human and material support to the battlefields, but also a large front line directly fighting and fulfilling international obligations. The Military Region is the area with the families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with the greatest contributions in the country.

Thoroughly grasp and implement the Party's viewpoints and policies on policy work towardspeople with revolutionary contributionsand martyrs' relatives, over the years, the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 4 have led, directed, and well implemented the regimes and policies for war invalids, martyrs' families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and the army's rear, considering this both an important task and the sentiment and responsibility of the Military Region.

Close coordination with the competent authorities ofMinistry of DefenseImplementing regimes and policies for those who were injured or died while performing military and defense duties, especially for those who were left behind after the war. Searching for and collecting the remains of more than 3,230 martyrs and organizing solemn, thoughtful, respectful and safe funerals and burials. Agencies and units in the Military Region's armed forces are taking care of 106 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, supporting hundreds of Houses of Gratitude for relatives of martyrs and families of policy beneficiaries...

Currently, in the Military Region's armed forces, there are 274 meritorious people and martyrs' relatives working in agencies and units, including 87 war invalids and 187 martyrs' relatives.

With determination and will, overcoming all to strive to mature, continuing the tradition of their fathers and brothers, no matter where they are, in whatever position they hold, they always complete all assigned tasks well. Many war invalids and martyrs' relatives are always shining examples in training, ready to fight, study, and carry out the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers", actively and proactively self-studying and researching to improve professional qualifications, having many initiatives contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of work. Many comrades proactively overcome all difficulties, work with peace of mind in remote areas, are ready to take on difficult tasks, actively study, practice, strive to assert themselves in assigned fields, truly being exemplary examples for everyone to learn and follow.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region thanked, expressed gratitude and highly appreciated the contributions and sacrifices of war invalids and martyrs' relatives for the cause of building the Army and protecting the Fatherland; commended war invalids and martyrs' relatives for their efforts in building their families and being exemplary in performing their tasks in agencies and units.

The Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region also requested that agencies, units, people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs in the armed forces of the Military Region continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the Party Committee and Command of the Military Region on policy work for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs. Make all levels, all sectors, all officers and soldiers in the armed forces of the Military Region have a deep and full awareness of policy work for the army, the army's rear and people with meritorious services to the revolution, considering it both a task and a sentiment and responsibility of officers and soldiers.
