Urgent construction of flood bypass road and rescue efforts in Do Luong district.
(Baonghean.vn) -The flood bypass and rescue route, passing through Thai Son and Minh Son communes (Do Luong district), with a total length of 5.7 km, is being urgently constructed using government funds.
The road was constructed according to the standards of a Class A rural road, with the basic alignment following the old route, only making localized adjustments to ensure technical requirements and safe traffic visibility at locations with curves and narrow bends. The project was invested in by the Provincial Flood and Storm Prevention and Control Sub-Department - Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; and constructed by Hoang Son Co., Ltd.

Although construction only began in May 2015 and was initially hampered by funding issues, the contractor is now making every effort to complete the project and the road has been opened to traffic.

It can be said that this is a vital route during the rainy season, creating opportunities for local people to avoid flood damage and opening up avenues for socio-economic development. Mr. Nguyen Thai Tuan, a resident of Thai Son commune, said: “When the government built the flood-avoidance and rescue road, the people here wholeheartedly supported it. Because this is an important road, it not only helps people travel and avoid floods easily during the rainy season but also facilitates trade between other communes.”
