SUITABLE FOR THE EPIDEMIC SITUATION

Due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, many surface activities of the District Labor Federation were not organized according to the plan established at the beginning of the year. To adapt to the pandemic context, the District Labor Federation has been proactive, creative, and innovative in union activities with the motto of flexibility, timeliness, and quick adaptation.

Specifically, the unit has selected appropriate activities, focusing on the grassroots, caring for and protecting the rights and interests of workers affected by the epidemic, encouraging businesses and workers to overcome difficulties, ensuring stable employment and life for union members. In addition, the District Labor Federation has proactively cut down on administrative expenses and superficial movements to prioritize financial resources for activities to support the frontline, businesses, and grassroots unions in the work of preventing and fighting the epidemic, and supporting workers affected by the epidemic.

In addition to closely directing and developing plans to ensure epidemic prevention and control work and supporting gifts for employees who implement "3 on-site" and promptly supporting cases of employees who are F1 and F0, the District Labor Federation has directly advised and proposed to the District's Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control to have a plan to implement, prioritize, and arrange Covid-19 vaccination schedules for all workers and employees at district enterprises in the area so as not to affect the progress, production, business, and save costs for enterprises. To date, 100% of employees at enterprises have completed 2 doses of vaccine as prescribed.

The propaganda work on epidemic prevention and control has been effectively implemented by the Nghia Dan District Labor Federation, contributing to mobilizing resources in cash, in kind, and working days from enterprises, agencies, units, and trade unions to join hands to support localities and units with F0 cases in the community, field hospital No. 2, and concentrated quarantine areas of the district... The propaganda forms are diverse, with many breakthroughs and high spread in many forms such as clips, representative frames, Infographics, online competitions... are carried out regularly and continuously on the Nghia Dan Trade Union's Facebook page, the union cadres' zalo group, and the district's Radio and Television Station...

The movement activities of the Nghia Dan Labor Federation were carried out safely and meaningfully. Activities from the models of "joining hands to protect green areas", "union kitchen", "union affection", "green shirt shopping for people" ... for people in quarantine in epidemic areas by the grassroots unions have been effective, spreading to many organizations and unions, promoting the role of unions in epidemic prevention and control.

At the grassroots union level, many online competitions such as: "Honoring the beauty of female workers", "Color of my beloved shirt", clip contest "Women sewing and untold stories", "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, children doing good deeds - defeating Covid", photo contest, decoration "Happy working corner", contest "Write about the colleague you love", giving trees "Happy TH people", volunteer activities "Connecting love - spreading happiness" by union members for poor households and poor students in the district... were received and responded to by union members and union workers.

HARMONIOUS DEPLOYMENT OF TASKS

We are determined to maintain the title of excellent unit in the whole system. This determination has helped Nghia Dan Labor Union achieve many remarkable achievements."

Up to now, 18/22 enterprises in the district have trade unions, reaching a rate of 81.8%, of which 100% of units are non-state enterprises (02 newly established enterprises in April - May 2021). The District Labor Federation has guided the supplementation, amendment, and signing of 01 new collective labor agreement (CLA), and organized 1 monitoring of the implementation of the CLA.

In particular, the District Labor Federation has paid attention to guiding and directing the grassroots trade unions to negotiate the value of shift meals. Currently, 100% of enterprises with collective labor agreements commit to and implement the value of shift meals from 20,000-37,000 VND/meal, exceeding the general regulations of the State and the law on shift meals for employees.

During the year, the District Labor Federation directed grassroots unions to coordinate in organizing grassroots democracy conferences in accordance with procedures, with 118/122 units organizing. Implementing the annual theme "Improving the quality of grassroots union cadres", the District Labor Federation organized trade union training for 267 union cadres.

Mr. Dao Van Duong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Mega Plastic Additives Joint Stock Company shared: "Under the guidance of the District Labor Federation, during the year, we successfully organized a dialogue conference, thereby promptly removing difficulties, promptly resolving recommendations and proposals of employees regarding salary regimes, overtime, shift meals... at the same time helping employees clearly understand the production and business situation to accompany the enterprise to overcome difficulties during the period of dealing with the Covid-19 epidemic".

The Nghia Dan Trade Union is interested in participating in the development, coordination, implementation and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws related to local workers. During the year, the unit coordinated with the district Social Insurance to disseminate, guide and mobilize employees to install the VSSID software of the Social Insurance; coordinated with the district Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to establish a monitoring team on the implementation of labor laws and occupational safety and hygiene at 3 enterprises with trade unions in the area; participated in the interdisciplinary monitoring team on the regime and policies for workers, female workers, the implementation of social insurance laws, salary regimes, and signing of labor contracts at 3 units.

The unit also regularly carries out social and charitable activities with many meaningful and practical activities, such as: Building 3 new "Union Shelters" houses, organizing Tet reunions and giving gifts to workers and laborers, visiting and giving gifts to workers and laborers in difficulty due to the Covid-19 epidemic in a timely manner... In addition, the Nghia Dan District Labor Federation also organizes activities to commend "Outstanding families of workers, civil servants and laborers" on the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day, June 28; Organizing a Conference to meet and commend workers and laborers with many achievements in the "Creative Labor" movement...

Assessing the unit's activities, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor said: "Nghia Dan District Federation of Labor is the unit that has led the province in trade union activities for many consecutive years, and is a methodical unit.There are many innovations, many meaningful activities quickly adapted to the situation, creating a great spread in the locality, highly appreciated by the government, union members and workers".
