Vietnam's 2025-2026 coffee crop is expected to reach its highest production in the last four years. This is due to favorable weather conditions and stronger investment from farmers. Production is projected to reach approximately 1.76 million tons, an increase of about 6% compared to last year.

This situation is expected to help alleviate global supply shortages, thereby helping to cool down the rapidly rising coffee prices in recent times.

According to assessments, the coffee plantations are currently thriving. This year's weather has been very favorable with abundant rainfall, which is excellent for the crops. Furthermore, thanks to the high coffee prices recently, farmers have confidently invested in more fertilizers and adopted new cultivation techniques; in some areas, they have even converted land to coffee cultivation to increase production.

As the world's largest supplier of Robusta coffee, Vietnam's bumper crop will help offset the global shortage following two disappointing seasons. This is seen as a crucial factor in curbing coffee prices, which have risen by as much as 42% in just the past month.

However, experts also warn that the sharp increase in supply could put downward pressure on coffee prices in the future. The coffee industry needs a suitable export strategy to both protect farmers' interests and maintain competitiveness in the international market.
