Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, April 27, 2025, unexpectedly dropped sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 130,000 and 130,700 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at a maximum price of 130,700 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 130,700 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by 1500 VND/kg and are trading at 130,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee decreased by 1500 VND/kg and is now at 130,000 VND/kg.

In Vietnam, drought conditions in the Central Highlands are significantly impacting the coffee crop. Farmers in Dak Nong are facing severe water shortages for irrigation during the peak of the dry season.
Meanwhile, the EU's EUDR anti-deforestation regulations are putting pressure on major coffee exporting countries such as Vietnam, Brazil, Colombia, and Indonesia. Failure to meet these stringent criteria could reduce coffee supplies to the EU, potentially leading to global supply shortages and driving up coffee prices.
The cost of complying with EUDR standards, including traceability, forest monitoring, and certification, will increase product prices. Conversely, countries that fail to meet the standards may divert exports to less stringent markets such as the US or China, leading to oversupply there and potentially lower domestic coffee prices.
Vietnam, with its potential and long history of coffee production, has every opportunity to conquer even the most demanding markets. However, to achieve this, the coffee industry needs to build a sustainable production chain from cultivation to processing.

According to Hedgepoint Global Markets, Brazil's coffee production for the 2025-2026 season could reach 63.8 million bags, slightly higher than the previous season but lower than initial forecasts. Of this, arabica is expected to reach 40.8 million bags, while robusta is around 23 million bags.
The robusta harvest in Brazil has begun, while arabica will be harvested from mid-year. Weather forecasts indicate rain in Brazilian coffee-growing regions this weekend, but drought conditions are expected to return as the dry winter season begins in the Southern Hemisphere.
