According to expert Nguyen Quang Binh, this price reduction is influenced by a number of factors. Regarding supply, the rainy situation in Brazil has reduced concerns about the risk of crop failure in the coming season.
Another factor is the US decision on reciprocal tariffs. The US court ruled this decision illegal and President Donald Trump has appealed. The tariffs will remain in place until a final decision is made, although the market is expecting the import tariffs to be reduced to 0%.
In addition, the European Union (EU) Anti-Deforestation Law, expected to take effect by the end of 2025, will also have a strong impact, mainly affecting the Brazilian coffee industry, causing Arabica prices to fall and pulling Robusta prices down as well.
