The difficult circumstances of the two orphaned twin sisters.
(Baonghean.vn) - Dau Thi Vi and Dau Thi NhungThey are twin sisters with special circumstances. They live in Quyet Thang hamlet, Dien Bich commune (Dien Chau district, Nghe An province). Despite this, the two children still strived to overcome difficulties and achieved high results in their studies.
Vi and Nhung are currently 8th grade students at Dien Bich Secondary School. Their father, Dau Van Son (46 years old), from Quyet Thang hamlet, Dien Bich commune (Dien Chau district), was caught in a trawling trip more than a month ago.Unfortunately, he had an accident and fell into the sea..
Vi and Nhung's parents have been married for 14 years, but their family still has to live in someone else's house.Life, already difficult, became even more desperate after their father's tragic death.Their mother broke down and fell ill, leaving the children without their emotional support..

What is admirable is that despite the difficulties, the children did not lose heart and studied very diligently. Outside of class, after school, they immediately helped their mother with household chores. Both children rarely missed school; Dau Thi Nhung was an excellent student at the primary school level for five consecutive years and has been an advanced student from grade 6 onwards; Dau Thi Vi, despite her health condition, also made an effort and achieved quite good academic results…
The perseverance and determination of these two students to excel in their studies have earned them the affection and admiration of many of their classmates.

Recently, Vi was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, but due to their difficult circumstances, they haven't been able to receive treatment. The two-room house where the three of them are temporarily living, borrowed from neighbors, is also in a state of severe disrepair. Besides two old beds, the only space is a makeshift table set up to worship their father. Ms. Hoa, a neighbor of the two children, sighed: "Their situation is so difficult; I don't know what the future holds for these two children…"

Mr. Pham Van Lang, Vi and Nhung's homeroom teacher, added: "Given the sudden and difficult situation of the two girls, the class has visited and encouraged their family. The school plans to organize a fundraising campaign among teachers and students, including a separate donation to visit and encourage the two girls' family. Currently, to ensure they can continue attending school, in addition to the tuition fee reduction as per regulations, the school will consider providing further support; and continue to encourage them to overcome their difficulties in life."
Hopefully, with the support of the school and the community of benefactors, the children will have the opportunity to receive medical treatment and continue their dream of going to school.
