Gas prices have dropped sharply by 72,000 VND per cylinder.
Saigon Petro has just implemented a sharp reduction in retail gas prices, decreasing by 6,000 VND/kg, equivalent to 72,000 VND per 12 kg cylinder, effective from this morning (April 1st).

Specifically, Mr. Do Trung Thanh, Deputy Head of Business Department of SaigonPetro, said that with a reduction of 72,000 VND/cylinder (including VAT), the retail price of gas for consumers is now 405,000 VND/12 kg cylinder.
According to Mr. Thanh, SaigonPetro's sharp reduction in retail gas prices is due to a significant drop in global imported gas prices, which fell by $212.5/ton compared to March, to $992.5/ton.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, Saigon Petro's gas prices have increased four times and decreased four times. Most recently, on March 10th, Saigon Petro also reduced the price by 10,000 VND per 12kg cylinder.
Reportedly, today (April 1st), many other gas companies also simultaneously reduced prices. For example, Pacific Gas Company reduced the price by 72,000 VND/12 kg cylinder, bringing the retail price to 404,000 VND/12 kg cylinder; Vinagas Company reduced the price by 50,000 VND/12 kg cylinder, bringing the retail price to 411,000 VND/12 kg cylinder.
