Investigation into death of boy at Gateway School extended
The People's Procuracy of Cau Giay District said it has extended the investigation into the death of a male student at Gateway School.
On November 19, the People's Procuracy of Cau Giay District announced that it had extended the investigation related to the death of Le Hoang L. (6 years old) - a student at Gateway School.
This decision extends the investigation for 2 months, from November 7, 2019 to January 7, 2020, and must complete the investigation conclusion before January 7, 2020.
Mr. Dinh Minh Tao - Chief of the People's Procuracy of Cau Giay District said: "Currently, we are waiting for some other appraisal results related to the case to complete the file."

Previously, the authorities had initiated a criminal case and prosecuted 3 suspects related to this case. The suspects include: Teacher Nguyen Thi Thuy (30 years old, residing in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) was prosecuted for the crime of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences".
Female monitor Nguyen Bich Quy (55 years old, residing in Cau Giay district, Hanoi) was prosecuted for "Involuntary manslaughter"; Driver Doan Quy Phien (53 years old) was prosecuted for "Involuntary manslaughter".
The incident happened on the morning of August 6, Mr. Doan Quy Phien drove car with license plate 29B-069.56 to pick up students from the parking lot at the Academy of Journalism and Communication to pick up Ms. Nguyen Bich Quy.
After that, these two people went to pick up 13 students, including L. When taking the students to school, driver Phien and Ms. Quy, who were in charge, did not check the vehicle and did not know that L. was still in the vehicle.
At 3:30 p.m. the same day, driver Phien drove back to Gateway School to take the students home. At this time, Ms. Quy did not see L. anywhere. Checking the car, she found L. lying motionless on the floor of the car. The child was then taken to the school's emergency room and to E Hospital, but was confirmed dead outside the hospital.
