Thanh Hoa provincial authorities have increased patrols and controls to prevent smuggling and illegal transportation of pigs and pork products of unknown origin. This is an important measure to prevent the disease from entering and spreading in the province.
Localities in the province have actively guided livestock farmers, especially small-scale farmers, to apply biosafety measures. Mr. Mai The Sang, Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Thanh Hoa province, emphasized the importance of not being negligent in the prevention of African swine fever.
Following the direction of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Agriculture, Thanh Hoa province has deployed African swine fever vaccination in two phases: small-scale vaccination to monitor and evaluate effectiveness, then expanding vaccination on a large scale to control and suppress the epidemic.
The authorities recommend that people do not trade, slaughter or consume sick pigs. At the same time, it is necessary to promote the construction of disease-free livestock facilities and areas. Localities are also required to guide farmers in the effective use of vaccines according to the instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
