Pig price increased/decreased by 2,000 VND/kg at most; Gas market is expected to fluctuate
(Baonghean.vn) - Today's market information: Pig price increased/decreased by the highest 2,000 VND/kg; Gas market is expected to fluctuate; USD price continues to increase, while Japanese Yen exchange rate continues to decrease sharply.
Pig price increased/decreased by 2,000 VND/kg at most
Pig price today (September 7, 2023) adjusted up/down from 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg.
In the Northern region, the price of live pigs today (September 7, 2023) increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg in some localities and fluctuated between 58,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, increasing by 1,000 VND/kg, the price of live pigs in Bac Giang, Lao Cai, and Vinh Phuc all reached 59,000 VND/kg.

Similarly, after adjusting the price up by one, live pigs in Phu Tho are being purchased by traders at 60,000 VND/kg. This price is also recorded in Thai Nguyen and Thai Binh after live pigs in these two localities were adjusted to be purchased by traders at two prices.
In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs today fluctuated in opposite directions and ranged from 55,000 - 58,000 VND/kg. Specifically, after adjusting the price up, traders in Binh Thuan province purchased live pigs at 57,000 VND/kg.
On the other hand, after a decrease of VND2,000/kg, pigs in Binh Dinh province were purchased at the lowest price in the region of VND55,000/kg. This is also the lowest price in the country.
In the Southern region, the price of live pigs today increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg and fluctuated around 56,000 - 59,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, after increasing by 1,000 VND/kg, the price of live pigs in Vinh Long today is recorded at 57,000 VND/kg. Also increasing by 1,000 VND/kg, live pigs in Ca Mau are recording the highest price in the region at 59,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, after adjusting up 2,000 VND/kg, traders in Tra Vinh are purchasing live pigs at 58,000 VND/kg.
Other localities in the region did not record new price fluctuations.
Gas market is expected to fluctuate a lot.
Opening the morning trading session on September 7, 2023, today's gas price in the world market decreased by 0.24% to 2.51 USD/mmBTU for natural gas contracts for delivery in October 2023.
In the domestic market, from September 1, 2023, gas prices have increased sharply following the world's increase. Specifically, for a 12kg gas cylinder, it increased by 33,000 VND/cylinder, equivalent to an increase of about 2,750 VND/kg.
Accordingly, City Petro's retail gas products increased by VND124,000 for 45kg gas cylinders and VND137,500 for 50kg gas cylinders. The retail price to consumers for the company's 12kg gas cylinders is VND444,000 after the price increase.

For Vietnam LPG Trading Joint Stock Company - PV gas LPG Southern, the company's gas price will increase by 2,750 VND/kg (including VAT).
Similarly, Saigon Petro Company Limited (Saigon Petro) announced that from September 1, the selling price of gas products will increase by VND2,750/kg (including VAT), equivalent to an increase of VND33,000/12kg cylinder. With this increase, each 12kg gas cylinder will be sold at VND406,500.
Petrolimex Saigon Gas Company also increased by 12,000 VND/cylinder, the retail gas price to consumers is 404,000 VND/12kg cylinder. Pacific Petro Gas Company increased by 12,000 VND/12kg cylinder, the retail gas price to consumers is 397,000 VND/12kg cylinder.
Ho Chi Minh City Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. (gas SP) has announced a retail price increase of VND33,000/12 kg cylinder from September 1, with the maximum retail price to consumers at VND406,500/12 kg cylinder.
According to businesses, the world import contract price (CP) set for September increased by 90 USD/ton compared to the previous month, to 555 USD/ton, causing domestic retail gas prices to increase sharply.
USD price continues to increase
The central USD/VND exchange rate today (September 7) was announced by the State Bank at 23,991 VND/USD, an increase of 32 VND compared to the listed rate on September 6. Meanwhile, the world USD exchange rate set a new high.
Currently, the USD exchange rate that commercial banks are allowed to trade is from 23,400 - 25,140 VND/USD. The selling exchange rate is also adjusted by the State Bank of Vietnam to the buying and selling range of 23,400 - 25,140 VND/USD.
The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of downward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank reduced the buying price by 20 VND to 23,880 VND and the selling price to 24,220 VND. The buying and selling prices of USD are currently in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.
Japanese Yen Exchange Ratecontinue to decline
The Japanese Yen exchange rate surveyed on the morning of September 7, 2023 at banks, simultaneously decreased sharply in both directions, specifically as follows:
At Vietcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate is 159.02 VND/JPY for buying and 168.36 VND/JPY for selling, down 0.66 VND and 0.77 VND respectively.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.24 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 158.64 VND/JPY and 168.34 VND/JPY.
At BIDV Bank, the buying rate decreased by 0.35 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.38 VND to 159.55 VND/JPY and 168.02 VND/JPY.
At Agribank, the buying and selling rates are 161.08 VND/JPY and 165.11 VND/JPY, respectively - down 0.91 VND in buying and down 0.93 VND in selling.
At Eximbank, the buying and selling rates decreased by 0.48 VND and 0.49 VND, respectively, to 160.55 VND/JPY and 165.06 VND/JPY. At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.55 VND and 0.62 VND, respectively, to 156.41 VND/JPY and 168.68 VND/JPY. At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 7.07 VND and 0.31 VND, respectively, to 160.57 VND/JPY and 167.12 VND/JPY.
According to the survey, today's Japanese Yen exchange rate at Agribank is the bank with the highest Japanese Yen buying rate and Eximbank is the bank with the lowest selling rate.
