Experts predict that by 2025, the global rice market will be more competitive as India, Thailand, Pakistan and Vietnam all increase their supply. Vietnam, which supplies about 75% of the Philippines’ rice imports, needs to take advantage of this to maintain its market share and increase exports.
At the same time, export enterprises need to improve rice quality, comply with international standards and develop niche markets to maintain their position in the international market.
