(Baonghean.vn) - Currently in Nghe An province, there are 18 domestic water supply systems in operation with a total design capacity of 112,600 m³/day and night with the management and operation of 7 water supply units. Of which, the largest proportion is Nghe An Water Supply One Member Co., Ltd., which is managing 13 water supply systems, supplying urban areas and neighboring areas with a total designed capacity of 94,600 m3/day and night, accounting for 84% of the total capacity.

The Vinh City water supply system is managed by Nghe An Water Supply Company Limited, and has been renovated, upgraded, and expanded by Nghe An Water Supply Company Limited using its own capital, ODA loans, and ADB. This system has two factories: Hung Vinh Water Plant with a capacity of 60,000m3/day and night serving the inner city of Vinh City and Cau Bach Water Plant with a designed capacity of 20,000m3/day and night.

The water supply system in the districts (including towns and surrounding areas): Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Thanh Chuong, Do Luong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son is also managed by Nghe An Water Supply Company Limited with a total capacity of 14,600 m3/day and night. Including the water plants: Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Do Luong, Anh Son, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Tan Ky, Thanh Chuong, Con Cuong, Ky Son, Tuong Duong.

Raw water sources of water plants in the area are taken from Dao River, Lam River, Dinh River, Khe Chi dam, Khe Hoi Giang dam.

The current water price in Nghe An for residents is at least 5,800 VND/m³and the highest is 10,900 VND/m³(depending on usage).
