Fertilizer prices today April 1, 2025: Urea fertilizer in the Southeast - Central Highlands increased sharply, while in the North, the price level remained stable compared to yesterday.
In the Southeast - Central Highlands region, urea fertilizer is the product that recorded the most significant increase. Ca Mau urea fertilizer is currently sold at 580,000 - 630,000 VND/bag, an increase of 10,000 VND compared to March 31.
Meanwhile, Phu My urea also increased from 5,000 to 30,000 VND/bag, fluctuating between 570,000 - 620,000 VND/bag depending on the agent and region.

This price increase is explained by the fact that the demand for fertilizers in the main farming areas has started to increase again when entering the summer-autumn crop care period. At the same time, input costs and transportation costs tend to increase, also contributing to the increase in retail prices at agents.
In contrast, other fertilizers such as potassium powder and NPK remain unchanged in price. Ca Mau and Phu My potassium fertilizers are both being sold at 500,000 - 560,000 VND/bag. NPK 16-16-8 fertilizers of three brands Ca Mau, Phu My and Dau Trau remain at the same price range of 650,000 - 750,000 VND/bag. In particular, NPK 20-20-15 TE of Binh Dien continues to stay at a high level, fluctuating from 900,000 - 950,000 VND/bag.
Lam Thao phosphate fertilizer in this area has not recorded any adjustment, the price still fluctuates in the range of 290,000 - 310,000 VND/bag.
In the Northern region, the fertilizer market has remained almost unchanged compared to yesterday. The price of urea of two popular brands, Ha Bac and Phu My, has been stable at around 570,000 - 600,000 VND/bag. Lam Thao superphosphate fertilizer - a cheap fertilizer widely used by farmers - is still maintained at 260,000 - 290,000 VND/bag.
NPK 16-16-8 Viet Nhat and Phu My fertilizers also maintain their common prices of 730,000 - 780,000 VND/bag, while NPK 16-16-8 + TE Viet Nhat - which has a higher micronutrient content - is listed at around 870,000 - 890,000 VND/bag.

For powdered potassium fertilizer, brands such as Canada and Ha Anh still keep stable prices, ranging from 500,000 - 550,000 VND/bag.
The fact that fertilizer prices in the North remain stable is believed to be due to the fact that the demand for fertilizer has not increased sharply, as the Northern provinces have just begun to prepare for the summer-autumn crop. Meanwhile, in the South, especially the Central Highlands and Southeast provinces, the peak of coffee, pepper, cashew care is being reached, so the demand for fertilizer is higher, leading to an increase in prices.
Fertilizer price forecast
Many agents and traders believe that fertilizer prices may increase slightly in April due to the peak domestic demand. However, the increase will depend largely on the development of world fertilizer prices, transportation costs and raw material import policies.
Currently, imported fertilizer prices remain high due to logistics costs and energy prices that have not cooled down, which may continue to put pressure on domestic prices in the coming time.
