“I clearly remember that shelling from the Ukrainian side has increased since the new President Zelensky took office,” - said Mr. Pushilin.

He also said that "Zelensky has little prestige" in the Ukrainian military, "on this level Zelensky has little influence" and has to defend himself.

Mr. Pushilin also said that Zelensky's statements during the election campaign and after taking office "were different."

“Somewhere there are even radical differences, somewhere else we see a regurgitation of Poroshenko’s rhetoric. Here, of course, it is very sad,” - said Mr. Pushilin.

In addition, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (self-proclaimed) stated that the Republic is ready to impose a moratorium on return fire, however, it is beneficial for certain forces in Ukraine to continue the conflict.
