According to a preliminary report by the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), by the end of October, Vietnam had exported 219,387 tons of pepper of all kinds, reaching a turnover of more than 1.1 billion USD. Although the export volume decreased by 1.9% compared to the same period last year, the turnover increased sharply by 48%.

The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) forecasts that in the last months of this year, Vietnam's pepper exports will face difficulties because domestic supply is no longer abundant and demand from China remains low.

However, it is expected that by early 2025, pepper exports will be more favorable when demand from China may increase sharply.

Besides, after Indonesia's latest harvest, the global pepper supply will not change significantly until February 2025. This is considered a favorable factor for Vietnam when entering the new harvest in 2025.
