In the Southeast region, pepper prices today are stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 144,000 VND/kg; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 145,000 VND/kg.

In 2024, the price of pepper – once known as “black gold” – turned around and increased sharply, bringing great joy to farmers. Not only did it help improve income, this recovery also became a great motivation for people to continue to stick with this special crop after a long period of facing difficulties.
According to Mr. Hoang Phuoc Binh, Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Chu Se - Gia Lai Pepper Association, the pepper growing area in the locality used to be very large, but now it has decreased significantly. The main reason is that pepper prices have fallen sharply for many years, causing economic difficulties for growers, loss of motivation, and no longer the ability to invest. Many households have had to give up, leaving it to the weather.
The decline in pepper acreage and output in recent years has led to a shortage in supply, while Vietnam still accounts for 60% of the world's pepper export output. This has pushed up pepper prices, bringing optimism to farmers.
Not only pepper, other agricultural products such as coffee, durian, areca nuts... are also having very good prices, even setting records, creating a higher and more stable source of income for growers.
World pepper prices today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 6,679 USD/ton (up 0.78%), and the price of Muntok white pepper at 9,115 USD/ton (down 0.31%).
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 6,150/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper was at USD 8,400/ton (down 1.2%); the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 10,500/ton.
Vietnamese black pepper prices today decreased slightly, trading at 6,200 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,500 USD/ton; white pepper price at 9,400 USD/ton.
