The price of the new Toyota Innova in Vietnam may increase by nearly 100 million VND

The new generation MPV Innova is expected to launch in Vietnam in early July, with prices expected to increase by 70 to 80 million VND depending on the version.

According to some Toyota dealers in Hanoi, the Japanese car company is expected to officially launch the new generation MPV Innova in Vietnam at the end of June or early July. Although there is no specific information about the versions, engine equipment or utilities on the car, business units believe that the selling price for the new Toyota Innova versions will increase from 70 to 80 million VND. The new Innova is still assembled at Toyota Vietnam's factory in Vinh Phuc.

Before the Vietnamese market, the second generation Toyota Innova has started selling in markets such as Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. The new Innova has a significantly changed design compared to the old version. The overall length, width and height have been expanded although the wheelbase remains the same.

The design changes are easily noticeable such as the front of the car with a wide trapezoidal grille, new LED projector headlights, and sporty alloy wheels. The interior is more luxurious with many wood paneling details, a 4-spoke wooden steering wheel, integrated function buttons, automatic air conditioning, and an infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen that supports smartphone connection, web surfing, HDMI, and Bluetooth.

In Indonesia, Toyota Innova 2016 has 2 engine options including both gasoline and diesel versions. Dual VVT-i gasoline engine, 2.0L capacity has a capacity of 137 horsepower, torque of 183 Nm while the 2.5L diesel engine version codenamed GD used on the Hilux pickup model, produces a capacity of 147 horsepower, torque of 342 Nm.

Toyota Innova started selling in the Vietnamese market in 2006 to replace the Zace model. The MPV quickly became a hit and became one of the best-selling models of the Japanese joint venture alongside the Vios and Fortuner.
