International gold price this afternoon November 18, 2024
Currently, as of 3:30 p.m. on November 19, 2024, the world gold price is trading at 2,619.73 USD/ounce, an increase of 32.42 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the exchange rate on the free market (25,780 VND/USD), the gold price is 82.32 million VND/tael (including taxes and fees), 1.67 million VND lower than ring gold.
After a series of 6 consecutive days of price declines, this increase marked a clear recovery of gold after a deep correction since October 31. Previously, gold prices peaked at over 2,800 USD/ounce, but fell about 261 USD, bottoming at 2,541.50 USD/ounce last week.
According to Darin Newsom (Barchart.com), gold prices may rise again when the impact of the US presidential election gradually subsides. Investors tend to seek gold as a safe haven in times of uncertainty.
While gold’s short-term outlook has improved, it’s still early to call a bottom, according to David Morrison of Trade Nation. The recent sell-off has seen gold prices fall more than 5% in four days.
James Stanley (Forex) said that the current decline is reasonable after a period of overbought gold. However, the current money is moving into Bitcoin, especially when the digital currency surpassed the $90,000 mark. He predicted that if Bitcoin reaches $100,000, gold could become more attractive due to concerns about the volatility of cryptocurrencies.
Mark Leibovit (VR Metals/Resource Letter) predicts that gold prices could fall to $2,300/ounce before rising again, with the possibility of reaching a record $3,700/ounce in the future.
Gold prices have fallen sharply over the past three weeks, but the pace of decline is slowing and could soon recover, said Bannockburn Global Forex CEO.
