Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,150 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 108.31 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 12.19 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold prices maintained a slight increase today, reaching a nearly two-week high. The main reason is that investors are concerned about the growing public debt burden and the fiscal outlook of the US government, causing them to seek gold as a safe haven.
Specifically, spot gold prices increased by 0.11%, after reaching their highest level since May 9. Meanwhile, gold futures prices in the US also increased by 0.4%, to 3,326.3 USD/ounce.
The rally in gold prices began last week after Moody's downgraded the US credit rating and has continued into this week on concerns about a major tax cut bill, according to Ole Hansen, commodity strategist at Saxo Bank. "At the same time, the stock market has weakened, the US dollar has weakened. It seems that the downward correction in gold prices over the past few weeks or months has paused," he said.
Last week, Moody's downgraded the U.S.'s top credit rating due to concerns about the country's massive $36 trillion debt. In addition, the U.S. Treasury's sale of $16 billion in 20-year bonds on Wednesday also met with weak demand, making investors more cautious in financial markets.
Investors are also concerned that the U.S. national debt could rise by trillions of dollars if Congress passes a tax cut bill proposed by former President Donald Trump. Gold is often seen as a safe haven asset in times of political and financial uncertainty.
The dollar index held near a two-week low, making gold more attractive to investors using other currencies. Trump’s tax-cut and spending bill cleared a key hurdle on Thursday as the House voted to begin debate, with a formal vote expected later in the morning.
Along with gold, spot silver prices rose 0.3% to $33.49 an ounce, platinum rose 0.2% to $1,078.16, while palladium fell 0.7% to $1,030.28.
