The difference between the buying and selling price of gold in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City markets remains at 40,000 VND/ounce. Overall, for today's trading session, the domestic gold price has decreased by 90,000 VND/ounce compared to the closing price on May 5th.
Also this afternoon, the world gold price fell by $4 to $1,307/oz. Based on the exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to VND 33.18 million per tael, which is VND 2.32 million lower than the domestic gold price.

After continuously falling in the morning, domestic gold prices reversed course and rose slightly by 10,000 VND/ounce to 35.51 million VND/ounce in the early afternoon.
Specifically, the retail price of SJC gold in Hanoi, as listed by DOJI Group, is 35.51 million VND/ounce. The buying price is listed at 35.47 million VND/ounce.
In addition, the price of SJC gold in Ho Chi Minh City was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company at 35.47 million VND/ounce (buying price); 35.51 million VND/ounce (selling price).
The difference between the buying and selling price of gold in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City remained unchanged compared to the morning, at 40,000 VND/ounce.
World gold prices, which fell to $1,309/oz this morning, rose by $2 to $1,311/oz this afternoon – equivalent to VND 33.28 million/ounce, which is VND 2.23 million/ounce lower than the domestic SJC gold price.

World gold prices this morning (Vietnam time) continued to fall slightly by more than 1 USD to 1,309 USD/oz, equivalent to 33.23 million VND/ounce, which is 2.27 million VND/ounce lower than domestic gold prices.
On the morning of May 6th, at the opening of trading at gold and silver trading companies, the price of domestic SJC gold was listed down 50,000 VND/ounce compared to the closing price of May 5th.

On the global market this morning (Vietnam time), the spot gold price on the Kitco exchange was $1,310/oz. The June gold futures contract on the Comex exchange rose $6.4/oz to $1,309/oz due to escalating geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe.
Furthermore, declining investment from gold traders has added further pressure on gold prices in recent weeks. The prospect of weak support from the Chinese economy continues to hinder gold's upward trend.
According to the exchange rate, the world gold price is currently equivalent to 33.26 million VND/ounce, which is 2.33 million VND/ounce lower than the domestic gold price.
