According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,452.25 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 22.13 USD compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 73,365 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 3.14 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Gold prices closed last week at $2,431 an ounce, opening an upward trend. However, this increase is not expected to be continuous, but will alternate between increases and decreases.
From the lowest level on August 7 of 2,390 USD/ounce, the world gold price has witnessed impressive growth to 64.5 USD/ounce, equivalent to an increase of 1.66 million VND/tael.
Gold Price Forecast
An online survey conducted by Kitco found that 130 out of 210 investors participating believe gold prices will rise, representing 62%, while only 45 predict prices will fall.
Analysts stressed that the US consumer price index (CPI) may not fluctuate significantly compared to last year, and tensions in the Middle East may be a supportive factor for gold prices.
Based on recent developments, experts predict that gold prices are likely to continue to rise this week.
