According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,514.84 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 37.26 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,280 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 77.49 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.50 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

The world gold price exceeded 2,530 USD/ounce earlier this week. There have been predictions that the price could fall as much as 50 USD/ounce as investors take profits. Some forecasts even say that the gold price could fall to 2,460 USD/ounce before starting to recover.
Experts said such a deep price drop in one session was a suitable market development after gold prices increased by more than 100 USD since the beginning of August.
Gold prices could have their best year since 2020, rising nearly $470, or 22%, by 2024. Geopolitical tensions, uncertainty from the US presidential election, and the possibility of lower interest rates could push gold prices higher.
Experts from Citibank believe that gold prices will continue to rise in the next 3-6 months, with an expected average price of $2,550/ounce in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Demand for gold in India, especially ahead of the wedding season, is expected to boost prices. Pre-Christmas jewelry purchases in India could also boost gold prices in the fall.
China's market is expected to increase gold buying due to reduced confidence in local banks and investment funds.
The Chinese government's statement that "real estate is for living, not for investment" also prompted investors to jump into other assets, including gold.
