Gold prices hit a record high, reaching a one-year high

Gold prices on February 12 increased to a record high and reached the highest level in about 1 year, breaking the threshold of 1,200 USD/ounce.

In the morning trading session on February 12, the world gold price suddenly increased to a record and reached its highest level in about 1 year as investors tried to withdraw from the stock market and the USD price tended to go down.

According to Kitco News, the price of gold for April delivery on the Comex floor increased by 53.2 USD (equivalent to 4.5%) to 1,247.80 USD/ounce. This is the highest level since early February 2015.

In the Vietnamese market, gold prices are quite stable despite the rapid increase in world gold prices.

Specifically, at 8:00 a.m. on February 12, SJC gold in Ho Chi Minh City was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company at VND33.38 million/tael. The current buying price is VND33.08 million/tael.

At the same time, in the Hanoi market, the buying and selling price of SJC gold announced by DOJI Group was at 33.15 - 33.35 million VND per tael.

The difference between buying and selling gold prices in Ho Chi Minh City is 300,000 VND/tael, while in Hanoi the difference is 200,000 VND/tael./.
