Gold surged in both directions
SJC gold skyrocketed in both buying and selling directions, pushing the price past the peak of 85 million VND/tael, while world gold continued to increase slightly.

Today's 9999 gold price is listed by DOJI at 82.60 million VND/tael for buying and 84.80 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, at the time of survey, the listed price of SJC gold was at 83.30 - 84.70 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 83.25 - 85.15 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,337.91 USD/ounce, a difference of 6.31 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 70.468 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 12.532 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
World USD suddenly increased sharply
USD exchange rate today (April 27), USD VCB continued to decrease sharply by 49 VND in both buying and selling directions, however, the world USD suddenly increased sharply, surpassing the 106 point mark.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank today is adjusted to 24,246 VND/USD, down 18 VND compared to the trading session on April 26.

In the world market, the Dollar Index, which measures the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 106.09 points - up 0.47% compared to the transaction on April 26.
The dollar rose to a 34-year high against the yen on Tuesday, bolstered in part by U.S. inflation data that showed no signs of easing, in line with forecasts and confirming expectations that the Federal Reserve may delay a rate cut until later this year.
The dollar's peak against the yen came after the Bank of Japan kept interest rates steady at the end of its two-day policy meeting, although it warned of future rate hikes.
Oil prices continue to rise, nearing $90/barrel
Data from Oilprice shows that at 20:33 on April 26 (Vietnam time),oil priceBrent was trading at $89.65 per barrel, up $0.64, or 0.73%, from the previous session. WTI was at $84.26 per barrel, up $0.69, or 0.63%, from the previous session.

According to analysts, oil prices rose due to concerns about supply disruptions in the Middle East and comments from the US Treasury Secretary about the country's economy.
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on April 25 that US economic growth could be stronger than forecasts based on gross domestic product (GDP) data in the first quarter of 2024.
In addition, oil prices were also supported by a surprise drop in US crude oil inventories.
Coffee surges to new record
Coffee priceDomestic price updated at 5:24 a.m. on April 27 increased by 2,000 VND/kg, setting a new record price of 134,200 VND/kg.
Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 134,000 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong and Dak Lak provinces is 134,200 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 133,800 VND/kg.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 133,500 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak province, in Cu M'gar district, coffee is purchased at about 134,200 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 134,300 VND/kg./.
