Gold prices continue to rise strongly

SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 68.52 - 69.18 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 68.52 - 69.18 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

USD price continues to increase slightly

The USD exchange rate continued to increase slightly today. The world USD index remained above 106 points.

The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank is adjusted to 24,069 VND/USD, down 5 VND compared to the same time yesterday.

Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,222 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,222 VND/USD.

The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of slight increases at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,210 and a selling price of 24,550, a slight increase of 5 VND compared to the closing price of yesterday's trading session. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.

Domestic pepper priceis in a down cycle

Currently, the domestic market in the Central Highlands and Southeast regions has begun to stagnate.

In particular, pepper prices in the Central Highlands region still fluctuate from 68,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. Specifically, Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) is purchased by traders at 68,000 VND/kg. Dak Lak and Dak Nong pepper prices are purchased at 69,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, in the Southeast region, prices continue to fluctuate from 70,000 to 71,000 VND/kg.

According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam's pepper exports in September were estimated at 19 thousand tons, down 5.6% compared to August, but up 37.6% compared to the same period last year. In the world, except for Vietnam, whose pepper export volume increased compared to last year, other countries such as Brazil, Indonesia, and India all recorded a decrease.

The domestic pepper market is in a downward cycle, domestic pepper prices are falling along with the world market in the context of the USD anchored at a high level and inflation in many places leading to reduced demand.

Pig pricego sideways, Nghe An at 52,000 VND/kg

In the Northern region, the price of live pigs continued to move sideways across a wide area and fluctuated between 51,000 - 53,000 VND/kg; the highest price in the region of 53,000 VND/kg was recorded in Bac Giang and Hung Yen. On the contrary, the lowest price in the region of 51,000 VND/kg was recorded in Yen Bai and Lao Cai.

In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs is stable and fluctuates between 51,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.

Localities including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa are being purchased by traders at 52,000 VND/kg.

In the Southern region, the price of live pigs has not recorded any fluctuations compared to the previous day and fluctuates between 50,000 - 54,000 VND/kg.

According to information from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Nghe An province, currently, African swine fever in the province has only occurred in a few small-scale farms in Dien Chau and Yen Thanh districts. The outbreaks have been handled by the authorities and specialized agencies at all levels on a small scale, applying synchronous solutions to prevent and control the epidemic such as: destruction, disinfection, sterilization, regular monitoring, propaganda, establishment of inspection teams, etc.

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine recommends that to prevent African swine fever, farmers need to implement measures to disinfect and sterilize the environment, buy breeding animals of clear origin, clean of diseases... especially vaccination. Currently, Vietnam has a vaccine to prevent African swine fever, which has been widely deployed in many provinces and cities with safe and effective results.
