This morning (September 22), at the opening of trading, the price of domestic SJC gold decreased by 10,000 VND/ounce compared to the closing price on September 21.

Specifically, according to the listing of Saigon Jewelry Company, the buying and selling price of gold is currently at 35.75 - 35.87 million VND/ounce. DOJI Group lists the gold price at 35.81 million VND/ounce (buying price). The selling price is 35.85 million VND/ounce.

The difference between the buying and selling price of gold in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City remains unchanged compared to previous sessions. In Hanoi, the difference is 40,000 VND/ounce; in Ho Chi Minh City, the difference is 120,000 VND/ounce.

On the global market, the spot gold price on Kitco reached its highest level in six weeks at $1,248/oz. The December gold futures contract on the Comex New York exchange also rose $7 to $1,251/oz.

A notable point in the trading session on October 21st was the sharp rise in gold prices, while the USD index and stock markets also performed well.

Investors believe that the rise in gold prices is influenced by the slowdown in China's economic growth in the third quarter, which increases concerns that it will drag down global economic growth.

The current world gold price is equivalent to VND 31.93 million per tael (approximately 37.85 grams) based on the exchange rate between VND and USD. The difference between the world gold price and the domestic SJC gold price is VND 3.94 million per tael.
